Rescued From Landfill: Birdsong’s first Hoodie micro‑drop

Endless landfill isn’t ok – especially when so many beautiful garments already exist. Our first Birdsong micro‑drop brings that belief to life.

We’ve sourced 30 soft‑fleece hoodies that were destined for landfill and given them a second life with classic Birdsong embroidery, created in collaboration with Bow sewing centre in East London.

 

Each piece is part rescue mission, part wearable protest: limited in number, carefully finished and designed to be worn for years, not seasons.

 

This first drop is small and intentionally slow – once these hoodies are gone, they’re gone. But it’s also a blueprint for what comes next: working with partners who hold deadstock and want to reduce the impact of sending it to landfill, and turning “waste” into clothing that conscious people actually want to wear.

Our first two designs: "Resist & Persist" and "Optimist" have now sold out, but we have launched our final two designs this week.
