Welcome to Birdsong.

Birdsong is a B-Corp certified sustainable
fashion brand based in London.
We rescue high-quality deadstock and overstock clothing that would otherwise be destroyed, and transform it into limited-edition pieces - embroidered by hand by Mona at Bow Sewing Centre, a women-run studio in East London.
Fashion is more than clothing. It's self-expression, and it can be resistance - think of the Black Panthers' berets, a simple accessory that became a symbol of unity.
But fashion also exploits workers and damages the planet. We don't want to abandon fashion, we want to transform it.
After pausing garment production in 2023, Birdsong relaunched with a new model: intercepting brand-new deadstock and surplus clothing destined for landfill, and giving it a second life through small-batch, hand-finished designs.
What makes Birdsong different?
-
We rescue, not retail - every piece begins as deadstock that would otherwise be destroyed.
-
We work with local, women-run studios for embroidery and finishing.
-
We produce in tiny runs - often as few as 12 per design - to avoid creating new waste.
-
We're B-Corp certified with an outstanding score of 117
-
We've been featured in Vogue, The Guardian, Vice, Marie Claire and the BBC.
